TARLAC CITY — The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 has partnered with Aboitiz Foods, through its brand Pilmico, to develop the Gen XP TV Series, a digital educational program that aims to connect traditional farming practices with modern innovation.
The initiative is a youth-driven digital agriculture learning platform designed to make farming more relatable and accessible by presenting technical knowledge and sustainability concepts in an engaging format.
Norie Bermudez, First Vice President and Country Director for Agribusiness Philippines at Aboitiz Foods, said the collaboration aims to inspire the next generation to pursue agriculture.
She described the partnership as a significant step toward strengthening agricultural practices and encouraging wider participation in the sector while supporting long-term food security.
Beyond motivating young people, the Gen XP TV Series also seeks to provide farmers, livestock raisers, and agripreneurs with practical knowledge that can help improve productivity and profitability in their operations.
Meanwhile, Gil David of the DA Regional Field Office 3 highlighted the value of public-private partnerships in advancing the agriculture sector.
According to David, working with Pilmico helps ensure programs that can sustain and increase the income of farmers and fisherfolk in the region.
