CLSU CenTrAD Student Immersion Sparks Collaborative Innovation on AI-Powered Animal Disease Detection System

Angeles City, Pampanga | July 14, 2026 — BB 88 Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc., through its Research and Development Department, together with the Biorganism Corporation Research Laboratory, proudly welcomed delegates from the Center for Transboundary Animal Diseases (CenTrAD) of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) for a special Student Immersion Program held on July 14, 2026.

The immersion program became more than an academic visit—it evolved into a strategic research dialogue focused on advancing next-generation veterinary technology through artificial intelligence, sensor engineering, and automated specimen analysis.

The activity was led by officials from CLSU CenTrAD, Directress Virginia M. Venturina, and featured the participation of Miss Elizabeth Campbell, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Public Health student from the University of Georgia, who joined the immersion under the international student exchange program coordinated by CLSU.

The visit was conducted pursuant to the official request of CLSU's Center for Transboundary Animal Diseases addressed to Mr. Henry V. Bayubay, President and CEO of BB 88 Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc., seeking approval for the July 14 immersion as part of the university's Student Immersion Program aimed at strengthening practical learning, veterinary health care collaboration, livestock development, and international educational exchange.

Building the Future of Intelligent Veterinary Diagnostics

During the technical discussions, researchers and development teams explored the conceptualization of a Joint Research and Development Project centered on the creation of an:

Automatic Specimen Sampler System (ASSS)

The proposed technology aims to revolutionize veterinary diagnostics by developing an intelligent specimen collection platform capable of integrating with advanced biosensors for rapid disease detection in animals.

The envisioned system will serve as the technological foundation for:

  • Automated biological specimen collection
  • AI-assisted laboratory screening
  • Smart biosensor development
  • Early detection of infectious animal diseases
  • Livestock disease surveillance
  • Precision veterinary diagnostics
  • Real-time data acquisition and cloud monitoring
  • Future integration with Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence platforms

Researchers emphasized that early detection remains one of the most effective methods of preventing disease outbreaks in livestock, reducing economic losses, and strengthening national food security.

Bridging Veterinary Science and Digital Innovation

The collaboration represents a unique convergence of veterinary medicine, biomedical research, electronics engineering, artificial intelligence, software development, and sensor technology.

BB 88 Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc., recognized for its expertise in software engineering, artificial intelligence, IoT systems, and digital transformation, will provide technological research and systems architecture, while Biorganism Corporation will contribute its laboratory research capabilities and bioscience development expertise.

The proposed research also aligns with the growing demand for smart agricultural technologies capable of supporting disease surveillance and improving animal health management across the Philippines.

Executive Leadership Supports Research Collaboration

Ms. Miriam N. Baking, Executive Vice President of Biorganism Corporation and BB 88 Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc., expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative.

"Innovation begins when science, education, and technology work together with a common purpose. Through this collaboration with CLSU CenTrAD, we hope to establish a research platform that will contribute to smarter veterinary diagnostics and strengthen the country's capability in animal disease prevention through advanced sensor technologies."

She emphasized that collaborative research between academic institutions and private industry is essential for accelerating innovation that directly benefits agriculture, livestock industries, and public health.

Developing Future Filipino Technologies

The immersion also provided students with firsthand exposure to ongoing research and development initiatives within BB 88's Development Department and the Biorganism Corporation Laboratory.

Participants discussed future opportunities involving:

  • Artificial Intelligence applications in veterinary medicine
  • Embedded systems engineering
  • Biosensor research
  • Laboratory automation
  • Smart agriculture technologies
  • Digital laboratory information systems
  • AI-powered disease surveillance
  • Human-centered technology innovation

The proposed Automatic Specimen Sampler System is envisioned as the first phase of a larger research roadmap that could eventually support intelligent veterinary laboratories and national livestock disease monitoring systems.

Strengthening Academe–Industry Partnerships

The successful immersion demonstrates the growing importance of partnerships between higher education institutions and technology companies in developing practical solutions to national challenges.

By combining the scientific expertise of Central Luzon State University's Center for Transboundary Animal Diseases with the technological capabilities of BB 88 Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc. and the research resources of Biorganism Corporation, the initiative seeks to establish a long-term collaborative framework for innovation in animal health, precision agriculture, and digital bioscience.

As research discussions continue, all participating institutions expressed optimism that the collaboration will lead to the development of pioneering technologies capable of enhancing livestock health, improving food security, and positioning the Philippines as a contributor to emerging intelligent veterinary diagnostic systems.
