Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, led officials from the Ministry, authorities, and law enforcement forces to help harvest farmers’ rice in Takeo province, which is time to harvest and also face floods.
The minister said the flooded area was 2,000 hectares and would take 10 days to harvest rice on time.
He continued that the people’s rice harvest was difficult due to the heavy rains, making it impossible for the machines to harvest, which required the help of harvesting by hand.
According to the Minister of Agriculture, he is checking with the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology to drain the water as soon as possible so that the tractor can return to harvest rice.
