Upward Bound Business School
batch 7 recognition ceremony was held last December 9, 2022 at Sta. Cruz,
TCJLDS - Lubao Phils. Stake center headed by Mr. Arnel Garcia, UBBS principal
with 72 graduates of short term business courses which aim to uplift the morale
of family farmers in Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines.
The recognition was attended by
several guests of honor from agricultural sector namely Perry Roque from Lubao
Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO), Coun. Ryan Roque of Brgy. San Pablo 2nd,
Lubao, Pampanga, Coun. Adrian Gagui of Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Lubao, Pampanga, Louie
Cartilla Local Farm Technician, Sto. Tomas, Pampanga, Ernesto Lacson, Local
Farm Technician, Magalang, Pampanga, Henry V. Bayubay, CEO of Biorganism
Corporation, Dr. Dianne Lapuz from ATI Central Luzon, Elder and Sister Huff
from LDS Charities, and Bro. Ryan Manrique, Manager-LDS Welfare and Self
Reliance.
All guests delivered an
inspirational message focused on the theme “Keep evolving to stay relevant,
keep educating yourself” which highlighted the main slogan of the Upward Bound
Business School (UBBS) Learn Earn Grow. Chona Tagalimot, UBBS Graduate of Batch
6 also graced the occasion with her testimonial speech on how UBBS changed her
life.
Farmers and their children
presented their own style of dances in each group. UBBS Lumawak, UBBS
Bodega and UBBS Mansanitas bringing excitement to the event before receiving
their token and certificate of recognition. The event started with welcome
remarks coming from Fe Santos, UBBS Operation Manager and ended by a closing
remark by Mr. Arnel T. Garcia, UBBS Principal.
UBBS is committed to educating
and developing farmer leaders and builders of enterprises who create value for
their stakeholders and society. UBBS aims to accomplish this through the LEG-P
(Learn, Earn, Grow and Protect) program. UBBS aim to develop ideas and leaders
that transform the community—from their SELF RELIANCE to the very center of
