Manila, Philippines (07/02/2026) — In a significant step toward advancing climate-resilient and technology-driven agriculture, BB 88 Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc. (BB 88 Solutions), Cooperative Cooperation Network Ph Inc. (CCNPh), and Biorganism Corporation (BC) formally presented the BC AGRI-System Climate-Smart Agriculture System and Bagsakan Ecosystem to Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr.
The presentation highlighted a comprehensive, homegrown Filipino agricultural innovation designed to modernize food production, strengthen food security, empower farmers, and prepare the country for the anticipated effects of the projected Super El Niño expected to impact the Philippines over the coming months.
Representing the organizations were Mr. Henry V. Bayubay, President and Chief Executive Officer of BB 88 Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc. and Biorganism Corporation, together with Dr. Virgilio Lazaga, Director for Business Development of Cooperative Cooperation Network Ph Inc. and former Assistant Secretary of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).
During the meeting, the team presented the integrated features of the BC AGRI-System Climate-Smart Agriculture and Bagsakan Ecosystem, emphasizing its capability to help farmers adapt to changing climate conditions through protected cultivation, smart agricultural technologies, digital monitoring, integrated supply-chain management, and an innovative Bagsakan marketing ecosystem that connects producers directly with markets.
Mr. Bayubay explained that the platform was specifically designed to address the growing challenges brought about by climate change, particularly the risks associated with prolonged droughts and extreme weather conditions. The proposed ecosystem aims to increase agricultural productivity while ensuring sustainable farming practices that will benefit Filipino farmers and consumers alike.
Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. expressed appreciation for the vision and dedication demonstrated by the proponents. He acknowledged the enthusiasm and commitment of Mr. Bayubay in developing innovative agricultural solutions that align with the Department's long-term vision of transforming Philippine agriculture into a more modern, resilient, and globally competitive industry.
According to Secretary Laurel, the Department of Agriculture currently has several interventions already being implemented to support the agriculture sector. However, he noted that once the BC AGRI-System fully demonstrates its intended objectives and readiness over the next several months, the Department would welcome future opportunities for collaboration with the proponents.
This encouraging response serves as a strong inspiration for the project team to continue refining and validating the technology in preparation for wider implementation.
Mr. Bayubay shared that the organization is now focused on completing the remaining development and implementation milestones over the next six months. He expressed confidence that the BC AGRI-System Climate-Smart Agriculture and Bagsakan Ecosystem will soon be ready for deployment in partnership with both government agencies and the private sector.
"Our mission is not only to introduce new technology but to empower Filipino farmers, strengthen food security, and create a sustainable agricultural ecosystem that future generations can depend on. We firmly believe that Filipino innovation can help shape the future of Philippine agriculture," said Mr. Bayubay.
For many years, Mr. Bayubay has actively championed innovation, digital transformation, and climate-smart agriculture in the Philippines. He is also an active member of the Filipino Inventors Society Multipurpose Cooperative (FISMPC) and one of the proponents behind the development of the organization's official FISMPC Website Platform and FISMPC Mobile Application. These digital initiatives support InventrePinoy, an innovation-driven platform designed to strengthen the commercialization, collaboration, and advancement of Filipino inventors, innovators, and technology developers nationwide.
The BC AGRI-System represents a broader vision of creating a complete agricultural ecosystem—from climate-smart production and greenhouse technologies to logistics, digital agriculture, Bagsakan marketing systems, financing opportunities, and farmer empowerment programs.
As climate change continues to challenge global food production, Filipino-led innovations such as the BC AGRI-System demonstrate that local ingenuity, strategic partnerships, and a shared commitment to national development can help secure a more resilient and food-secure Philippines.
Together, government, the private sector, cooperatives, innovators, and farmers can cultivate a future where technology and sustainability work hand in hand—ensuring that Philippine agriculture remains productive, competitive, and prepared for generations to come.
