As of Aug. 30, the project had an approved portfolio of 58 subprojects with a combined value of PHP1.69 billion. Of these, 34 were already under procurement or implementation, while two subprojects—one infrastructure project and one enterprise initiative—had been completed.
The review also found progress in linking Indigenous Peoples Organizations (IPOs) to markets. Half of the beneficiary IPOs have already secured formal market or supply agreements, while 41.3 percent of submitted business plans had been approved for funding.
By the midpoint of implementation, MIADP had strengthened 83 participating entities, approved 82 subproject concept notes, and translated 19 Ancestral Domain Agricultural Implementation Frameworks (ADAIFs) into actual investments.
The World Bank further noted that the project's Management Information System (MIS) and grievance management system are both fully operational.
In a statement Saturday, MIADP Project Director and DA-Davao Regional Director Macario Gonzaga credited Indigenous Peoples communities, local government units and project teams for the progress.
“This recognition affirms the dedication of our Indigenous Peoples communities, local government partners, and implementing teams who have worked tirelessly to bring the project from social preparation to large-scale implementation,” Gonzaga said.
The mission assessed the project's progress toward its Project Development Objective (PDO), reviewed implementation since the 5th ISM, and evaluated fiduciary management, monitoring and evaluation, as well as environmental and social safeguards.
World Bank Senior Economist and Task Team Leader Paula Beatrice Macandog said the project continues to address development priorities among Indigenous Peoples in Mindanao.
“MIADP remains highly relevant to the development priorities of Indigenous Peoples in Mindanao and is broadly on track to achieve its PDO by project closing,” Macandog said.
The assessment provides an updated review of MIADP's implementation as it moves through the second half of the project period, with investments focused on strengthening agricultural enterprises, infrastructure, market access and development opportunities for Indigenous Peoples communities.
