Clean-up Drive led by Farmers Association in Taytay, Palawan

The Coastal Clean-Up Activity was successfully carried out in Sitio Maliao, Pamantolon yesterday by Pamantolon Sagingan and Sakahan Farmer's Association, Inc. (PSSFAI), in collaboration with DENR, Brgy. Pamantolon supported by Integrated Products Marketers Association of the Philippines (IPMAP).

The Coastal Clean-Up Activity started dawn at Taytay, Palawan around 6:30 a.m. this Sunday, March 26, 2023, led by President of PSSFAI, Adrian Ramosa who also the chairman of IPMAP-Palawan with the DENR CENRO Taytay under the leadership of CENR Officer Conrado M. Corpuz; Barangay Government of Pamantolon under the leadership of Punong Barangay Merlina Nacasi; members of the Philippine Coastguard (PCG) led by PCG Station Commander Kenny Puyong; Philippine National Police - Taytay MPS led by PLT Eric Dalisay and 401st BMC, RMFB led by PCPT Joseph T Erpelo; 3rd Marine Company, MBLT 3 under the command of 1LT Harry John Osabel PN (M); Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA); Sitio Monte Vista Farmers Association, Inc. (SMFAI) under the leadership of Jesus Abela together with hardworking residents.

The program aimed to protect the coastline of Taytay, Palawan to minimize the filling of garbage and debris that continue polluting the seashore of Barangay Pamantolon. According to Ramosa they collected more than 30 bags of plastics. The said activity is part of the organization's social responsibility to be part of promoting a healthy and clean ocean and environment.

The PSSFAI and SMFAI were part of the movement of IPMAP, Digital Farmers Association of the Philippines Inc. (DFAPI) and Agri-Integrated System Solutions (AISS) Group to support the program of the government in regards to food security and climate change.
